Caring for every part of your child

A holistic, immersive program that builds skills and self-esteem

Language-based OG reading program

For children with language-based learning difficulties, traditional reading instruction methods don't work. It’s not because they aren’t bright or capable — but because their brains are wired differently. At Pathway, we use the Orton-Gillingham reading method, which allows children to discover the joy of reading by learning to read with multiple senses.

Speech program

Language plays a pervasive role in learning. Deficits in language and collateral language areas require strategically designed interventions that facilitate synergetic academic growth. Our speech therapists work closely with classroom teachers to ensure students build skills like memory, executive function, and problem solving skills.

OT program

Our occupational therapists are skilled and trained to help your child integrate their learning. At Pathway, we’re passionate about providing sensory input and doing body-mind exercises to help students participate in their learning and aid retention.

Assessment program

To truly bring a child forward, we need a clear understanding of where they are now. At Pathway, a tremendous focus is placed on frequent assessments so we can pinpoint areas of success and struggle. With a deep understanding of each child, we provide targeted, individualized support.

Soft skills program

It’s about academic learning… but it’s not ALL about academic learning. For a child to succeed in the real world, they need to be able to follow directions, interact with peers, regulate their behavior, and develop resilience, independence, and grit. We focus equally on these soft skills, so your child leaves Pathway equipped for success — in school and out.

Extracurricular program

There are many kinds of intelligence. We provide children with a space to discover their strengths through various creative outlets. We foster self-awareness and confidence by providing opportunities to develop their skills and talents with activities like woodworking, art, gym, music, and engineering.

The Pathway Partnership:
Child, Parent, Teacher, and Therapist

Parents

As your child’s parent, you’re the key influencer in their education. You’re the one who can generalize concepts outside a school setting and provide feedback on performance. Your involvement as a passionate player motivates the efficiency and effectiveness of intervention. We’re partners — period.

Teachers

Your child’s teachers are committed to advancing your child's education and opportunity. They appreciate the nuances of your child's journey and learning profile. They recognize the broader impact that academics and related skills hold. Your child's teachers utilize their strong values, expertise, and dedication to foster personal growth. Teachers are a pivotal force in the interdisciplinary team.

Therapists

Your child's interdisciplinary team will balance standardized testing data and informal observations with teacher feedback and parental impressions. Creating targeted intervention is a dynamic process. Therapists and teachers consistently monitor and reassess therapeutic goals to ensure that each child receives targeted support.

Students

Your child is the core of their learning, and we create a holistic environment to foster and develop their intrinsic sense of self and active participation in their learning. A happy child is a successful child. And our goal is to ensure that your child achieves that.
